A product of clashing cultures and contemporary chaos, Abdullah’s lively yet authentic humour has placed him among the most promising young acts in the country. He has written on CBC’s critically acclaimed television shows Dragons’ Den and This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and well as the CBC digital series Street Cents. As a standup, Abdullah is a nationally touring headliner, having been featured on CBC’s “Inside Comedy” (CBC TV, CBC Gem), Just For Laughs Toronto, CBC Radio, and he was the winner of “Ottawa’s Top Comic” in 2019. His humour is drawn from his tales as a Pakistani immigrant, misadventures of navigating modern adulthood, and political banter, all wrapped in an engaging stage presence and peppered with crowd interactions.
